Raise money for life-changing orthopaedic research

By entering Walk for Wishbone you will raise funds for leading orthopaedic research in New Zealand to help get people moving again.

Take part in one or more of three events – in Wellington (28 April), Tauranga (19 May) and Auckland (26 May).

Choose to walk, or stroll – 1 km or 5 km, or challenge yourself to climb Eden Park stadium.

Take part with friends – meet the experts, some Kiwi superstars and find out about new developments in orthopaedic surgery.

Money raised goes towards research to transform people’s lives, helping them to recover more quickly from injury or skeletal pain, enabling them to get moving again and live full active, healthy lives.

Walk for Wishbone is supported by the New Zealand Rugby Foundation Inc.

How your support makes a difference

Wellington-based Priscilla is something of a poster child for hip replacements. Less than three months after her right hip was replaced, she did a 10k round-the-bays walk, followed by three other 10k walks, and then walked the Taupo half marathon. Only a year after her surgery, she has made no fewer than 56 trips up Wellington’s steep Mt Kaukau.
